Hill House is a striking newly built home perched atop a steep hill in South East London, featuring a pair of two-storey volumes linked by a single-storey entrance gallery. The upper floors contain the family living spaces with large picture windows and a terrace that showcase panoramic views over London. Designed in close collaboration between Joe Wright Architects, contractor Beam Developments, structural engineers Elliott Wood, and Carbon Free Group, the design prioritises sustainability and comfort. Energy consumption is minimized through the Earth Energy Bank (ground source heating), solar PVT panels, and a heat recovery ventilation system with buried ‘earth tube’.
